Play Disc Golf at Ottawa Park Toledo
Disc Golf is open all year !
• The 2nd fastest growing sport in the US.
• Free to play. Inexpensive equipment.
• Great low-impact exercise, fresh air, camaraderie.
Ottawa Park has the ONLY disc golf course in Toledo, and 1 of only 5 disc golf courses in NW Ohio & SE Mich. It was constructed
by the City in 1995, with the design by the Toledo Area Disc Golf Assn. (TADGA). Reconstructed by TADGA in 2010; installed 19th hole
and new putting green in 2011. All work and fund raising for these improvements were done by TADGA members.
The course has 19 permanent holes---long and short tees for each hole. Two temporary holes are added for competitions. It is the most
played course in the area, and the most popular. On sunny summer days, there are often more disc golf players than regular golf players
in Ottawa Park!
It's free to play, no tee times, and open year around. TADGA salts and shovels the tees in the winter. The only requirements:
be courteous of others, and please don't litter! TADGA does periodic course cleanups.
There are 2 to 5 tournaments held each year. There are weekly leagues, as well as a Special Olympics league, thru October. Even during
tournaments and league play, the course is still open for general players. So whether you call it disc golf or frisbee, play it at
Ottawa Park in Toledo.
