Toledo's largest,
finest
Regional park
Designed and maintained by the Ottawa - Jermain Park Advisory Board Toledo OH ©
Our rink is the only inline hockey facility in the Toledo area. The season normally runs April through September. Games are usually held Saturday and Sunday. Also, there is drop-in play, clinics, and outreach programs. There is no cost for attendance. All games are open for public viewing. A few years ago, the Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League, the largest outdoor league in Northwest Ohio, had over 1000 players on 80 teams across three different skill levels.
Ottawa Park has the only open air ice rink in northwest Ohio & southeast Mich. The rink has recently installed new chillers, and a new floor several years ago for consistent and smooth ice which is smooth enough for inline hockey in the summer. Previously installed in 2008, the coolant distribution system has extended our winter season from about mid December to mid March. Your Park Board was instrumental in helping secure $700,000 in 2008 for this distribution system upgrade. Our changing rooms are open year around. In 2014, a new lounge area floor was added. No more ice skate damage! And a roof is planned which will block the sun, but leave the rink sides open.
And of course the rink is lighted for either romantic evening skating or hockey. We have open skating periods, hockey leagues, tournaments and practice, as well as the indoor Rink Cafe where you can take a break, rent skates or have yours sharpened.
So whatever the season, come use our rink.
To reach the rink, go north from Bancroft on Ottawa Pkwy. The rink is on the first road to your right.
Tam O' Shanter now operates the Ice Rink for the City.
