Disc Golf

Open All Year!

Why Disc Golf?

  • Rapid Growth: Disc golf is the 2nd fastest growing sport in the US.
  • Affordable: It’s free to play and requires inexpensive equipment.
  • Health Benefits: Offers great low-impact exercise, fresh air, and camaraderie.

Ottawa Park boasts the only disc golf course in Toledo and one of just five in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Built by the City in 1995, it was designed by the Toledo Area Disc Golf Association (TADGA). TADGA members reconstructed the course in 2010, adding a 19th hole and a new putting green in 2011. All improvements and fundraising efforts were carried out by TADGA members.

The course features 19 permanent holes, each with long and short tees, and two additional temporary holes for competitions. It’s the most played and popular course in the area. On sunny summer days, you’ll often find more disc golf players than regular golfers in Ottawa Park!

Playing is free, with no need for tee times, and the course is open year-round. TADGA members salt and shovel the tees in winter and conduct periodic course cleanups. The only requirements are to be courteous and not litter. The course hosts 2 to 5 tournaments annually, along with weekly leagues and a Special Olympics league through October. Even during tournaments and league play, the course remains open for general players. So whether you call it disc golf or frisbee, come play at Ottawa Park in Toledo.
