The Ice Rink is Open All Year!
Our rink, the only inline hockey facility in Toledo, operates from April to September with games on weekends. We offer drop-in play, clinics, and outreach programs, all free and open to the public. The Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League, the largest in Northwest Ohio, once had over 1000 players on 80 teams across three skill levels.
Ottawa Park boasts the only open-air ice rink in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Recent upgrades include new chillers and a floor suitable for inline hockey in summer. The coolant system, upgraded in 2008 with $700,000 from the Park Board, extends the winter season from mid-December to mid-March. Changing rooms are open year-round, and a new lounge floor was added in 2014. A roof is planned to block the sun while keeping the sides open.
The rink is well-lit for romantic evening skating or hockey. We offer open skating periods, hockey leagues, tournaments, and practice sessions. The indoor Rink Cafe is available for breaks, skate rentals, or sharpening. Whatever the season, come enjoy our rink.
